On July 22nd, the Archdiocese informed me that Fr. Prima Chika, who was supposed to replace Fr. Kevin on August 1st, will NOT be able to work at our parishes until he fills out the proper Work Visa papers with the government.  Over the last couple of years, Fr. Prima had a Student Visa, which permitted him to work 20 hours per week, while studying full time at St. Paul University.  Now that he’s graduated from St. Paul University, he needs to complete his Work Visa forms so that he's able to work in the parish on a full time basis.  He's in the process of doing this now.

In the meantime, I was able to enlist the help of Fr. Jonathan Kelly (former associate pastor of our parishes) for the month of August.  He will be covering some of our weekend masses, while Fr. Kipling and I are rotating our vacation time.  

As we enter the Fall season, I am hoping that Fr. Primus is able to join our pastoral team with no more snags.  May the Holy Spirit intercede in our current dilemma.
